NoCal Hikes and Grandkid Adventures

After our adventure, and rescue (see previous post), we had to explore the Mt Shasta area before traveling south to Sacramento to see the kids. Unknown to me was the identity of Mt. Shasta (also volcano) as a spiritual mountain. The angels painted on our airbnb walls were a clue, as was the high price for a view of Mt Shasta from the deck. Shops in Mt Shasta town gravitated to crystals, readings, brewpubs and donuts.

We hiked along McCloud river to the series of falls. An easy and beautiful, tho crowded, hike.
